Eesha's treat and farewell

My lovely friend Eesha is finally leaving Lucknow (after 5 years) to go be a psychiatric resident in Bangalore! Yay for her and yay for the Indian custom of "treat giving."

Ayo lal, Jhule....lal!

Happy Cheti Chand folks! I'm learning more about my Sindhiyat every day. Funny to think how oblivious I was to all things Sindhi as an an adolescent. Not that I'm so much more informed now. Anna, Elizabeth, Athena, Zehra, and I went down to the banks of the Gomti River for the Sindhi Cheti chand mela. What fun! So much yummy food. They had the best kulfi falooda ever :)

On Saturday, Mae, Devon, and I hired an auto rickshaw for 4 hours for a Lucknow photo shoot! We hit up several of the widely known and lesser known jewels of the city. And of course ended the shoot with some delicious chaat from the one and only Royal Cafe!
